VCUVCU Retail Stores

You should have received hardcopies of the textbook adoption forms for the spring 2008 courses. Please return the completed forms on or before October 26, 2007 to help ensure textbook availability and to improve the likelihood of best prices for our students. The completed adoption forms can be sent through the campus mail to the Monroe Park Campus bookstore PO Box 842013 or the MCV Campus bookstore at PO Box 980013.

If you are satisfied with the textbook(s) indicated on the form, which are the same books ordered for the spring 2007 courses, simply write in the new anticipated enrollment, sign and date the form, and return it to the bookstore.

If you plan to change textbooks, cross out the old information and write in your new selections, following the adoption format. Please be specific about the author, title, edition, publisher and the ISBN, if available.

If you are ordering books that will not be used until later in the semester, please notify the bookstore so the store will keep those books on hand throughout the semester.

For your convenience, adoptions can also be submitted using the Follett “eDoption” process. Using the "For faculty and staff" option on the VCU Homepage select the Monroe Park Campus or the VCU Medical Center under the “Book eDoption” section. The number 146 is the password for the bookstore on the Monroe Park Campus and the number 733 is the password for the bookstore on the MCV Campus. A brochure with complete instructions on how to electronically submit textbooks is also available through the bookstores.

When adoptions are received on time the bookstores can buy back the used textbooks from students at a much higher price, saving the students money. In addition, timely book orders reduce textbook prices by giving students and the bookstores more time to find used copies and explore purchasing options.

Thank you for using the VCU Bookstores. If you have questions please feel free to contact JoAnne Rudenko on the Monroe Park Campus at jrudenko@vcu.edu or call 828-1678 or contact Terri Wyatt on the MCV Campus at tlwyatt@vcu.edu or call 828-0336.
