The Department of Business Services is a service organization whose function includes
supporting the teaching, research, and public service mission of Virginia Commonwealth
University. The auxiliary units included within the department are: Parking and
Transportation, Retail, Dining, and Mail services. These units strive to
provide excellent customer services, effectively satisfy customer needs, develop key
diverse business partnerships and streamline administrative processes while complying
with all laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Department of Business Services is
dedicated to providing these services at competitive prices to students, faculty, staff
and guests of Virginia Commonwealth University.
Philosophy:
The customer base that the department of business services provides assistance to is
extremely diverse consisting of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) faculty, staff,
alumnus, visitors, parents, and most importantly, students. Due to the demographically
diverse and demanding customer base, The Department of Business Services strives to
adhere to the philosophy of dedication to quality products and service at competitive
prices. The size of the department and its ability to prosper financially is in direct
proportion to the sale of its products and services based on market competitiveness.
